Our Political Party is an eTwinning collaborative project , by pupils aged 14-15, in state schools in Athens-Greece and Zadar-Croatia. This project aims at familiarizing students with the idea of citizenship, via debating.

Pupils will deal with the idea of democracy and the concept of ‘citizenship’ under democratic values, with signs of democratic life in their surroundings, with opportunities for citizen participation, with cross-generation initiatives and citizen initiatives. In particular, the aim of the project are: To inspire project work, which fosters systematic research, cooperation, presentations and cross- and co-curricular learning under the theme of democracy and European citizenship. To encourage the pupils to observe reality from multiple perspectives and develop the idea of democracy, so that they can work together towards the development and understanding of the democratic process and how it touches their own lives. To enhance their knowledge and confidence in using all integrated skills of English, as a foreign language to express themselves. To help young people to acquire basic life skills and competences for their personal development, for future employment and for active European citizenship. The end product is a joint proposal of the two European groups to form a political party via twinspace.
